KUROPLAY News Desk

Editorial Policy

The KUROPLAY News Desk publishes short, original briefs about anime announcements. This page explains exactly how those briefs are produced.

Who writes our news

Stories are published under the byline KUROPLAY News Desk, operated by the KUROPLAY team at Belpho Developers. Drafts are written with AI assistance and are governed by the rules on this page. Stories flagged as rumours or unclear are always held for a human editor before anything is published.

Where our news comes from

  • We only follow a short list of established anime news publishers and official announcements, reviewed by our team.
  • Every story names its original source and links to it, with the date the source published it.
  • Stories whose source or publication date can't be confirmed are not published.

How we verify a story

  • Our briefs may only restate facts that appear in the original report — no invented dates, numbers, quotes or claims.
  • Automatic checks reject drafts that add numbers or months not found in the source, copy the source too closely, or duplicate a story we already ran.
  • Reviews, opinion pieces and promotional posts are not treated as news.

Rumours and unconfirmed reports

Leaks and unconfirmed reports are clearly labelled Rumour — not officially confirmed, and are only published after an editor reviews them. Confirmed stories carry a Confirmed by source label.

Original reporting and credit

We summarise in our own words and keep briefs short so readers can go to the original publisher for full details. We don't copy articles, artwork or images from other outlets.

Dates on our stories

Each story shows when the source published it, when KUROPLAY published it, and — if we changed it meaningfully afterwards — when it was last updated.

Independence

KUROPLAY has no paid partnerships with the publishers we cite. If that ever changes, sponsored content will be clearly labelled and kept separate from news.

Corrections

When we get something wrong we fix it and add a visible note. Read our Corrections Policy or contact us.
